Monro, a little caterpillar in Butterfly Kingdom, encounters many troubles before God blesses him with his great reward. As he travels throughout Butterfly Kingdom, he must learn to handle difficult situations and to depend on God. Although the situations he encounters made him feel sad and alone at times, he remembers that God is still with him and to depend on God to take care of him.Many times children are overlooked and assumed to have it easy when they really do not feel this way on the inside. Monro’s Great Blessing was written to encourage children in their times of difficulty (Bullying, childhood illness, parental divorce, etc.) to keep the faith and remember that there is a brighter side to what may seem dark and difficult. The author’s goal is to encourage the child, while learning valuable lessons.
