Pastor C. Ivan Johnson is a faith and community leader, author, and nationwide motivational speaker. He is a native of Tacoma, Washington, and people are his passion. C. Ivan Johnson is the Senior Pastor and Founder of Greater Destiny Church Tacoma, established in 2016. It is through this ministry that his sincere compassion and fervent care for people is earnestly demonstrated. He is a Commissioner for the City of Tacoma, Human Rights Commission. He is now serving his third term within the HRC. C. Ivan Johnson loves his community and as Founder and CEO of GDC 253. This non-profit organization is one of his heartbeats. GDC 253 strives to make a difference in the Tacoma/Pierce County area, offering resources to uplift and support youth, families, and underserved populations.

C. Ivan Johnson released his first book in 2012, "A Servant’s Journal, Encouraging Devotions and Exhortations." His freshman rendering continues to make a global impact. He also is a contributing writer in the book, "Sons of Purpose, a View of Biblical Heroes through the Eyes of 21st Century Men, a 40-Writer Collaboration, Volume 3." This men’s devotional collaboration highlights testimonies from men across the globe. Of all his literary works, "Soul Care is Self-Care" is the book he is most ecstatic about releasing.
